The vacant 122-year-old Detroit Club in downtown Detroit is still up for grabs.
JC Reindl of the Detroit Free Press reports that the bidding for the club reached $2.9 million Thursday at the 1:45 p.m. deadline, but failed to reach the secret minimum threshold for sale.
The Freep reported it was unclear if there would be another auction for the building.
The auction began Tuesday with a $950,000 minimum bid, the Freep reported.
Reindl wrote that the seller is real estate investor Emre Uralli, who purchased the building for $1 million in late December and has done interior renovations since.
