Expect lots of commotion in the downtown Detroit area through the week and into the weekend as the movie “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice” films a number of scenes.

On Monday, mock destruction was shot at the set on Howard and Abbott near Holy Trinity Church, according to WWJ's Vickie Thomas.

And that's just a start.

Deadline Detroit has learned that because of filming on Thursday and Friday, Fort Street will be closed between Cass and Griswold; Shelby Street will be closed between Lafayette and Congress.

On Saturday, Griswold will be closed between Lafayette and Jefferson.

The film's stars include Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams and Jason Momoa. It's expected to hit the theaters in May 2016.
