Video: Ben Affleck Wears 'Detroit City' T-Shirt While Taking ALS Challenge

Ben Affleck wore his "Detroit City" t-shirt when he took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and his wife Jennifer Garner dumped a bucket of ice water over his head.

After that happened, he grabbed his wife and they both fell in a pool, a video showed.  Their kids were in the background giggling, according to the video and a report in The Guardian of London.

Before getting doused, Affleck said: 

'I guess I have to pick four other people. My people are going to be folks who I know from firsthand experience look good in a wet T-shirt. 'The first one is Jimmy Kimmel. Second one is Neil Patrick Harris. Third one is Matt Damon.  'And the fourth is the lady with the bucket!'

Affleck and family have been in the Detroit area this summer while he films the latest Batman movie.

The challenge was created to have some fun and raise awareness and money for ALS, often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease." It's a a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
