Humiliating. Frustrating. Deflating. Debilitating.
The Detroit Tigers played a real stinker on the road, losing Friday night to the Minnesota Twins by two touchdowns, 20-6.
For a while the Tigers looked as if they had a chance to win. Then the Twins scored 9 runs in the sixth inning and it was off to a place called humiliation.
Meanwhile, Kansas City beat the Texas Rangers 6-3 on Friday night.
KC sits in first place, ahead of Detroit by 2 1/2 games.
Manager Brad Ausmus said after the game that there wasn't much to say.
"We got our butts kicked," he said.
"It just wasn't a good day."
