Doing business in Detroit can be deadly.

WXYZ's Jane Park reports that two people were shot -- one fatally -- at the Easy Pay Tire shop on the city's west side on Sunday around 1:30 p.m. at Livernois and Tireman in an apparent robbery.

The dead person was identified as 36-year-old Michael Cole, the son of the owner, WDIV reported. The other person, a co-worker,  was expected to recover and was able to give a description of the suspects.

Police were reviewing video from a Coney Island across the street, WXYZ reports.
