Vice President Joe Biden is set to come to Detroit to speak on Labor Day, the Michigan Chronicle reports.
Biden last spoke on Labor Day in Detroit in 2012, shortly before the presidential election.
Biden will speak after the traditional parade, and will meet with local labor leaders, the Chronicle reported.
Biden was in town in January and had dinner at the Roma Cafe with Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan. In July, he was in town to tour a training program with Duggan and hold a fundraiser for Michigan Democrats, the Chronicle reported.
