A new Cadillac will get built in Detroit.

General Motor's CEO Mary Barra made the announcement Friday morning at the Detroit Homecoming conference sponsored by Crain's Detroit Business.

The Cadillac will be bigger than the XTS and be built at the Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Plant.

Barra declined to say what the car will be called or cost.

She said production would begin next year.
