Police Confirm That Body in Barrel is That of Theresa DeKeyzer of Warren

September 20, 2014, 1:39 PM

As suspected, the body found late this week in a 55-gallon drum at a storage facility in Plymouth Township was that of Theresa DeKeyzer,22, of Warren who had gone missing since June 15.

Simon Shaykhet of WXYZ reports that just prior to her disappearance, DeKeyzer was photographed by police as a victim of domestic violence the night she reported an assault. The woman in the drum had the same clothes on. The station reports that she was also identified by her two tattoos and earrings.

Without police saying so at first, it seemed all but certain the woman in the barrel was DeKeyzer considering that Warren Police had gone all the way to execute a search warrant at the storage facility in Plymouth. The station reports that the drum was inside a trailer.

WXYZ reports that Warren Police Commissioner Jere Green says her boyfriend, Scott Wobbe, is the main suspect in her disappearance. He's being held in jail in Midland County on drug charges.
