Could we have a Steven Spielberg Jr. in the making?

John Turk of the The Oakland Press writes that 18-year-old Clarkston native Luke Jaden, who attended Detroit Country Day School,  has gone from attracting national recognition for his filmmaking to forming an entertainment company in Detroit called Troika Management.

Jaden’s Detroit-based company, SOS Productions, and Novi-based Digitelio Film Development, run by Cort Johns, have joined together with another Detroit-based company — Dado Records owner and composer John Beltran — to form the company that Jaden said will scout, write, produce and direct films in the independent genre, locally and in Chicago.

Jaden has been working in the film industry since he was 12, he said. He already has on his resume a string of parts in smaller features and a documentary he produced on abolitionist John Brown, called “Madman or Martyr,” that has gained national attention.
