A Detroit Police detective who was under investigation by the FBI and internal affairs, died Thursday morning in what authorities believe was a self inflicted gunshot wound, The Detroit News reports.
James Napier, 35, was found dead this morning in a car outside his parents' Sterling Heights home, George Hunter reports.
A DPD spokesman said Napier had been working in the 12th Precinct and before that in the 9th Precinct. The disbanded narcotics unit, which included Napier, has been under investigation for alleged corruption.
