Oakland University Police Apologize For Tweet Mocking Mike Tyson

Oakland University is investigating who posted a tweet mocking Mike Tyson on an official police account.

WWJ reports that the tweet was sent around 7:40 p.m. from the @OUPD account with a picture of Tyson and the words: “Thlow down and thake your thime.” It went on to say: "Drive Thafely Everyone! The Roads Are Thlippery." 

The tweet was posted while the roads were slippery.

In a statement to WWJ Newsradio 950, the university said the tweet was removed as soon as they were made aware of the situation, and said it was not authorized by the Oakland University Police Department police chief or administrative lieutenant in charge of social media.
