From Monday
As part of his effort to stabilize neighborhoods, Mayor Mike Duggan will announce on Tuesday, the Detroit 0% Interest Home Repair Loans program.
The program, first mentioned by Duggan during his State of The City Address in February at the Redford Theater, will provide an $8-million loan pool so people can upgrade and repair their homes, according to a city press release. The press conference will be held at the Joshua Temple Church of God in Christ on Regent Street.
The city said it hopes the loans "will empower homeowners to invest in their homes and neighborhoods."
