March 28, 2015, 12:46 PM

With a victory comes a mess.

Following Michigan State University's 62-58 victory over Oklahoma, hundreds gathered in the streets of East Lansing early Saturday morning and police responded to small fires and arrested three people, The State News reports.

One 20-year-old and two 19-year-olds are charged with disorderly conduct, unlawfully remaining within 300 feet of an open fire, The State News reports.  The celebration took place around the Cedar Village Apartment complex in the 1000 block of Water's Edge.

"Upon making these arrests, the crowd immediately began to disperse," a police statement says, according to the campus paper.

"Officers were able to gain control over the situation within 15 minutes of the fire starting, which in turn eliminated any escalation of the disturbance. No chemical crowd management devices were utilized during this incident."
