The Detroit Tigers have come a long way.

Tony Paul of the Detroit News reports that the club will host an LGBT Pride Night at Comerica Park, the first time in the club's history.

The Pride Night will be Wednesday, June 3, at a game against the Oakland A's.

The News reports that on June 17, the A's will host its first Pride Night on June 17.

Not everyone in the Bay area was happy. Some season ticket holders complained, so  Eireann Dolan, the girlfriend of A's reliever Sean Doolittle, offered to buy an unwanted tickets, the News reports. She plans to donated those tickets to a Bay Area LGBT youth center.

The Dodgers and Giants are also hosting LGBT nights this year. The Chicago Cubs have been doing it since 2001.
