The drama in a case involving the two Detroit children who were killed and stuffed in a deep freezer, continued to play out in court on Thursday.

Elisha Anderson of the Detroit Free Press reports that the mother of the two children, Mitchelle Blair, who is charged with murder in the case, blurted out "Yes, I did kill her," as she was escorted out of court.

The "her" she referred to was her daughter, Stoni Blair,13, along with the body of her son, Stephen Berry, 9.

Blair was in Wayne County Juvenile Court Thursday for a custody proceeding for her two surviving children, a boy, 8 and a girl, 17, the Freep report.  The state wants to take away her parental rights, as well as the rights of the two fathers.

In a video played in court, Blair's boy, 8, was asked how he knew his siblings were dead.

"'Cause I saw it," he replied.

Later, when the judge  summarized what the boy had said, Blair interjected: "He didn't see me kill Stephen because it was unintentional."
