Detroit can always use more breakfast joints.

Sylvia Rector of the Detroit Free Press reports that Tina Motley, 47, of Farmington Hills has opened Le Petit Dejeuner (French for breakfast), at 3411 Brush Street in Midtown. It's three weeks old.

Some of the dishes include Ricotta-filled chocolate crepe drizzled with raspberry sauce, French toast made with croissants and carrot-cake pancakes with cream cheese maple syrup.

Rector writes:

Prices are gentle, considering the quality of the food and the pretty presentations. One guest can pick three items for $9; a table of two can choose four items to share for $17; a group of three can order 5 items to share for $25, and so on. Or, each person can order three items of his or her own.

The hours are:  6 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Friday and 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.
