Gas stations, which are the only form of commerce in some Detroit neighborhoods, continue to be magnets for violence.

The latest: Priya Mann of WDIV reports that Andre Johnson Jr., 23,  was shot and killed Saturday around 7:30 p.m. in his minivan with his two infant daughters in the backseat at the BP gas station at the corner of East Vernor Highway and Mount Elliott Street on Detroit's east side. His girlfriend had gone inside the gas station store, and the children were not hurt.

The gunman fired multiple shots through an open window.

There's no indication of a robbery, WDIV reports.
