Here we go, just as you thought this Lansing scandal couldn't get more amusing -- or absurd.
Kathleen Gray of the Detroit Free Press reports that State Rep. Cindy Gamrat, R-Plainwell, filed Thursday with the Allegan County Clerk to run for the seat she just had taken away from her last week following a a state House expulsion vote.
She joins at least five other candidates in a Nov. 3 primary, the Freep says. The general election is next May.
Gamrat was expelled for wasting taxpayer funds to help cover up an affair with ex-state Rep. Todd Courser, who quit just before he was about to be expelled.
