School can be challenging enough for students. Then there's the fear of walking to school.
A 17-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped on Detroit's east side at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday on the way to school, Ron Savage reports at Fox 2 News.
She was abducted at the bus stop on East Seven Mile at Hawthorne, two blocks east of I-75. The man is believed to be in his 50s, the station says.
"She is a young girl and a sweet girl," a neighbor identified only as Debbie tells Savage. "She was just going to school and this happens. Tthat's not fair."
