Time to Sing: Bob Ficano Must Testify Under Oath About County Scandal

There could be a little squirming on the stand in Wayne County Circuit Court.

A Southfield lawyer Thomas Warnicke told the Detroit Free Press that he's looking forward to questioning Wayne County Executive Bob Ficano under oath about the county scandal.

Wayne County Circuit Judge Wendy Baxter ruled Friday that Ficano, County Commissioner Bernard Parker and County Commission Chairman Gary Woronchak must answer questions under oath in a lawsuit filed by Azzam Elder, who was Ficano's number two man.

Elder claims he was forced out after he reported a possible conflict of interest involving Commissioner Parker. He also claims Ficano tried hiding sweetheart severance packages including the one for ex-Chief Development Officer Turkia Awada Mullen.
