Last Dec. 26, a woman entered a CVS at 295 S. Broadway in Lake Orion and stuffed about 90 bottles of nail polish bottles in her purse and left without paying. On Jan. 7,  the woman returned with a man and put about 90 more bottles into her purse and took off

The mystery has now been solved.

Lake Orion Police said in a posting on Facebook that they have charged the man and the woman.

The man, identified as Derek Michael-Herbert Hill, 26, of Utica, was located in the Oakland County Jail where he'd already been charged in an unrelated matter. He admitted stealing the nail polish bottles and said he and his then-girlfriend sold them for drugs.

Police said the girlfriend has been charged but has yet to be located.

Hill is in the county jail pending a hearing Aug. 1.

Police said they received a tip about the case from a family member who recognized both suspects after  viewing them on a social media post.
