Buying  hip living spaces in Midtown is proving to be expensive.

Here's what you get for $374,900 for a 1,500-square-foot loft in Midtown at 4221 Cass Ave., according to a listing on Redfin, a realty listing site:

2 bedroom/ 1 bath 2 story loft in the StuberStone! This loft features hardwood floors, granite kitchen and bath countertops, in-unit laundry, 1 interior parking spot w/ storage cage, stainless appliances, 16 foot ceilings and a upper open lofted bedroom.

The Stuber-Stone building has 13 lofts completed in 1997. The building is two blocks from Wayne State University and the Detroit Medical Center. An inside parking spot comes with each unit.

Refin calculates that owmnership costs you $2,295 per month: Mortgage principal and interest, $1,410; property tax, $403; homeowners association dues, $285; insurance, $197.
