The 6:30 p.m. newscast will have the same anchor team as the 6 p.m. broadcast.

On Monday, Fox 2 quietly launched an extra half-hour newscast that will run from 6:30-7 p.m. during the week. The station will now have a nightly newscast from 5-7 p.m.

Claudia Russo, a spokesperson for Fox, tells Deadline Detroit that the newscast will include more enterprise and feature reports. The newscast will have the same anchor team as the 6 p.m. broadcast.  On Fridays, the station will have a movie review.

The station is also expected to unveil a new studio set for the nightly news later in the fall.
