The Obama Campaign Ad Shows Some Detroit Love

May 14, 2012, 3:42 PM

President Obama has released a 32-second, feel-good campaign ad touting, Detroit,  the middle class and the auto industry bailout.

"The decision to intervene with the auto industry was not popular, but I was convinced it was the right thing to do," the President says in the ad.

"What happened in Detroit can happen in all sorts of communities," he goes on to say, "where, when you combine American innovation with the best workers in the world we can succeed."

The website Politics Pa reported that the Obama camp released the ad Monday in Pennsylvania. -- A.L.
