Detroit-based Compuware Corp. apparently isn't done entertaining the possibility of being sold.

Crain's Detroit Business reports that Compuware has held talks with buyout firms to get a better offer than the $2.3 billion one it recently rejected from New York-based Elliott Management Corp. The paper cited Reuters news service as its source.

Reuters reported that Compuware has held preliminary talks with New York-based Blackstone Group LP and Fort Worth-based TPG Capital LP.

Deadline Detroit is funded by Compuware Ventures, a division of Compuware.
