Burn, Sparty, Burn: E. Lansing Cops Nab 15 in Post-Game Riots; At Least 57 Fires Set
Police made 15 arrests over the weekend in the riotous aftermath of Michigan State University's Big Ten Championship win over Ohio State University.
The Lansing State Journal reports cops said this morning they are “still gathering information as it pertains to statistics from this past weekend's events” and would release further details this afternoon. But the department’s weekend police report indicates a dozen of those arrested were students at Michigan State University. One was an MSU alumnus.
The affiliations of the other two were unknown, according to the weekend report from the East Lansing Police Department.
The report also says the East Lansing police and fire departments responded to “a minimum of 57 fires.”
