Up until now we thought of Catwoman as a fictional character in a Batman comic strip.
But in Farmington Hills, a woman is certainly deserving of that moniker.
Chauncy Glover of WDIV reports that the woman called the local animal shelter asking for help to deal with the 143 cats she was housing.
WDIV reports that the cats were well taken care of and were in good shape.
The cats were removed Thursday by animal rescuers and taken to local shelters where they will await news homes.
WDIV reports that the woman was spending $700 a week on food for the cats, and all were current on their shots. The city ordinance limits the number of cats someone can own to three. -- Allan Lengel
