It May Be a Bummer For Snow Haters, But We've Got a New Record Today

April 15, 2014, 7:04 AM

In mid-April,  two words come to mind: "bummer" and "record."

Yes, just when we hoped to not see snow for a long long time, we saw a snowfall overnight of 3.1 inches.

That was enough to break the snowfall record for one season of  93.6 inches set in 1880-1881.

Meet the new record: 94.8 inches.

The temperature will hit the upper 30s this afternoon, WDIV predicts, with wind that may gust near 30 mph.
