Filmmaker Michael Moore has done quite well, thank you, the son of a GM assembly worker who came from humbling beginnings, railing against General Motors in the low-budget, 1989 film "Roger and Me."

Francis X. Donnelly of The Detroit News writes that he and wife Kathy Glynn, who co-produced some of his earlier documentaries, own nine properties in Michigan and New York, including a Manhattan condo. CelebrityNetWorth.com pegs their wealth at $50 million.

Interestingly, in divorce papers, Moore blames his wife for mocking media coverage of him.

He says it was her who was responsible for the expansion of their 10,000-square-foot home on Torch Lake in northern Michigan, which has a value of $2 million.

In the divorce papers, he lists six media reports from 2011, which poked fun at the defender-of-the-poor for owning such a big house, Donnelly writes.

After 22 years, Moore and Glynn are calling it quits. The divorce is set to be finalized in a settlement Tuesday at Antrim County Circuit Court in nearby Bellaire, the News reports.

The News reports that the couple met in the mid-1970s while working at a biweekly newspaper, the Flint Voice, founded by Moore. Both of their fathers worked on the assembly line at GM.

The voluminous court documents contain some juicy stuff worthy of the tabloids and TMZ.

In filings, Moore wanted to know if Glynn hired a private investigator to snoop on him, and he accused his wife of reading his personal messages and wanted her disclose any texts or emails of his that she printed out.

Here in Detroit, blogger Aaron Foley slaps an unrestrained headline on a post about the disclosures: "Surprise! Michael Moore Is a Filthy Rich Hypocrite"
