Former Detroit City Council President Charles Pugh wants his nightmare lawsuit to go away, much like he did when he split town.

In a filing in federal court on Monday, he denied allegation that he offered a teen he was mentoring in the Detroit school system money and gifts in exchange fo sex,  Robert Snell of the Detroit News reports. Pugh wants the suit tossed.

The teen, whose name has been kept out of the court records, is suing Pugh.

Pugh, who lists his address as a duplex in Brooklyn, is representing himself in the case, the News reports.

Pugh has denied sending regular text messages to the male teen, aggressively pursuing a sexual relationship or paying extra attention to the teen, Snell reports.

The lawsuit says that the teen met Pugh in  2012 when he was 17. Pugh was a volunteer mentor for a program at the Frederick Douglass Academy.

He claims he did not not have unsupervised access to students.

The lawsuit contradicts that, alleging that Pugh took the teen shopping and grabbed his crotch in the car. It also alleged that Pugh kept pushing, and finally succeeded in getting the teen to send him a video of himself masturbating.

The lawsuit includes some incriminating emails between Pugh and the teen.
