July 30, 2014, 4:21 PM

Amy Haimrl of Crain's Detroit Business talks to some existing businesses at ground zero of the Ilitch family's proposed 45-block entertainment district that includes a new hockey arena to get their read on things.

One of those businesses includes Harry's Detroit Bar on Clifford Street.

Harry Kefalonitis, who bought the bar in 1994, tells Crain's that he's sticking around

"We're staying!" Kefalonitis said. "We're excited for the new arena; it's going to bring us a lot of business."
.
He expects the construction phase will bring a lot of business as well from the workers.

George Boukas, who owns the Temple Bar on Cass Avenue also says he has no plans to leave.

In video that accompanies that story, he says that the area has always been a neighborhood and "needs to remain a neighborhood."
