The Detroits site, its first  permanent shop, hosts a grand opening party June 1 from 5-8 p.m.

The business calls itself an outlet for "the expressive and edgy soul." Its site adds"

Bird Bee is here to offer clothing, accessories, jewelry and lifestyle goods for the sweet rebels, rock 'n rollers and gypsies at heart.

Are you the free spirited, spread your wings and fly babe (BIRD) or the take no prisoners grunge queen (BEE)? Either way, we've got you covered. We are more than just another boutique, we stand for a lifestyle - the kind that is filled with adventure, creativity and badassery. If you're ready to fill your closet with compliment-worthy pieces and look like a frickin' rock star -- you've come to the right place.

At Bird Bee, it's not really about "fashion." We wear what we like and what makes us feel good. We want that for you, too - to explore your own personal style and feel amazing in every outfit you wear, whether it's a graphic tee and jeans or a crazy patterned dress! We curate nothing but unique, quality items that we would wear ourselves and love being able to share them with you!
