We see gun violence play out throughout the country, and this case, a local 3-year-old boy is the victim.

Jamar Lee Quinn Jr. was sleeping around 2:45 a.m. Sunday at his home on Campbell Street in River Rouge when a hail bullets began flying in a drive-by shooting, John Steckroth of WDIV reports. He was shot in the head.

On Monday morning he died.

The shooter remains at large. No description of the shooter has been released.

A week prior to Jamar's fatal shooting, the front of the house was shot up, shattering a window, WDIV reports. Early Monday morning, after the boy was shot, the house was firebombed, but no one was hurt.
