Update: A 23-year-old Cleveland man was charged Friday in connection with an incident at the Greektown Casino Hotel that involved an AK-47 and a bible with the names of at least two cities that have seen mass shootings written inside.
Marlo Smith, aka Mario Smith, was charged with one count of carrying a concealed weapon.
The charges came after a security guard this week discovered an abandoned backpack near an ice machine at the casino hotel. The pack, inspected by the Michigan State Police, had a weapon with one live round and the bible with the names of at least two cities that experienced mass shootings.
The case remains under investigation, the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office says in a statement.

Two suspects are in custody following the discovery of a package in Greektown that contained a semiautomatic weapon and a bible with the names of at least two cities that have seen mass shootings written inside.
The bag containing an AK-47 and 30-round magazine was found Tuesday behind an ice machine at Greektown Casino Hotel, Detroit Police Chief James Craig said in a media briefing. A fire alarm was set off in the building around 7 a.m.
The suspects and a third who is still at large are from Ohio and checked into the hotel Monday night. Craig said they had visited the casino before and may have a history with drugs.
Because of the list of cities, police reacted to the incident as a possible terror threat, contacting the FBI and Michigan State Police. Detroit was not on the list.
