Joe Biden may tap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to join his presidential ticket.
Whitmer made the list of possible vice presidential picks "two months ago," the Democratic frontrunner tells MSNBC. That was before she sparred with Donald Trump over coronavirus and helped deliver Biden the Michigan primary.
The statement came after host Brian Williams asked whether any figures noted for their response to the crisis, "specifically the governor of Michigan," had "lengthened the list of possibilities."
