The Free Press reports that Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, was awakened at 4 a.m. when a man identified as Matthew David Hughes allegedly threw a rock through his kitchen door and gained entry. Eminem was able to “verbally and physically” restrain the invader until security arrived to escort him into police custody.

Hughes was described as homeless on the warrant, said Clinton Township Police Captain Richard Maerlie. He was charged in Macomb County District Court with first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building, and is held on a $50,000 bond.
