It started with Father Tim Pelc of St. Ambrose Church in Grosse Pointe Park using a squirt gun on Easter to shoot parishoners with holy water as they drove up on Hampton Street. He wore a mask, face shield and rubber gloves.
Photos by parishoner Larry Peplin, a freelance photojournalist, were posted on the church's Facebook page in April. They went viral on Twitter and sparked a Reddit "Photoshop Battle," according to BuzzFeed.
