Metro Detroit Chef Heads to Florida After NBA Players Complain About Lousy Food

Several NBA players living in the bubble in Orlando, Fla., were none too happy with the quality of the food. And when millionaires complain, the league listens.

So it league enlisted Chef Shawn Loving, the department chair of Schoolcraft College’s Culinary Arts program, to come down and fix things. Loving accepted last month, reports Jeff Seidel of the Detroit Free Press.

The Farmington Hills chef now runs a kitchen inside the NBA bubble in Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex, making 120-140 meals a day.

He's no stranger to the NBA. He's cooked for then-Detroit Pistons players Rip Hamilton, Chauncey Billups, Ben Wallace and others and cooked meals for Pistons' charter flights.
