Armed GOP Candidate Suggests She's 'Worst Nightmare' for Michigan Rep. Tlaib, 'Squad' Allies

A conservative Georgia congressional candidate President Trump called a "future Republican star" posted an image of herself brandishing a rifle along with photos of Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib and two fellow "Squad" members. She also vowed on Facebook to "go on the offense" against the trio, The Washington Post reports.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a professed QAnon conspiracy believer running in a heavily Republican district, posted the photoshopped image on Facebook on Thursday that includes Reps. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Tlaib.

The the caption under the gun-toting Greene says: “Squad’s worst nightmare.”

“Hate America leftists want to take this country down,” Greene wrote in a posting. “Our country is on the line. America needs fighters who speak the truth. We need strong conservative Christians to go on the offense against these socialists who want to rip our country apart. Americans must take our country back. SAVE AMERICA. STOP SOCIALISM. DEFEAT THE DEMOCRATS!”

On Friday, the post from Greene had been removed.

Greene and House Republican leaders did not respond to The Post for comment.

Tlaib tweeted Friday morning:

An hour later, the Detroit Democrat added: "Is there any doubt that if the roles were reversed, the GOP would be calling for my resignation and Facebook would have already removed the post?"

After the photo with the gun was taken down, Greene posted on Friday evening:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., tweeted that Republicans needed to “immediately condemn this dangerous threat of violence against Democratic Congresswomen.”
