Photo evidence released in Whitmer kidnap plot

Thanks to a Free Press request, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Grand Rapids has released a number of exhibits related to the kidnapping plot against Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

The 14 would-be abductors were arrested, most of them last week. Six are being charged by federal authorities, and eight by the state. 

The paper published five photos, showing the various defendants with weapons, as well as performing surveillance on the governor's summer home. 

Other evidence released includes videos and images of chat threads in which the participants discussed their plans.
