Snyder Again Slams Trump, Who Lashes Back Before Michigan Visit

October 30, 2020, 7:20 AM

On the eve of his Friday return to Michigan, President Donald Trump aimed a trash-talking tweet at Rick Snyder, who endorsed and voted for Joe Biden.

The timing appears linked to a Fox News appearance Thursday (video below) by the former governor, a Republican.

Trump, trailing in the Michigan polls, is scheduled to hold a Waterford rally at 1 p.m. Friday at the Oakland County International Airport, three days after a Lansing campaign stop. Doors open at 10 a.m.

Trump beat Hillary Clinton in Michigan in 2016 by 10,704 votes. It helped that Green Party candidate Jill Stein got more than 50,000 votes in this state.

Snyder on Thursday told Fox News host Neil Cavuto:

"I've already voted. I'm a proud Republican. This was a big decision, but you come back to the basics, I'm an American first.

"We shouldn't let partisanship get in the way of good decision-making for our country. ... We have people dying. And we have a leader that is ignoring that. That's not right."
