Restaurateurs in Michigan are facing tough times.

The owners of Andiamo restaurants are urging restaurateurs to band together and defy the state health department's three-week ban on indoor dining.

Susan Selasky of the Freep reports:

Depending on what happens this week in a federal lawsuit challenging the Nov. 15 order, Joe and Rosalie Vicari said in a letter that restaurants need to unite and fight back. They said if restaurants lose the lawsuit, the governor will likely extend the order at least through the end of the year.

“Our industry cannot survive another extended closure,” the letter says. “Thousands of restaurants and tens of thousands of our employees can not survive it either. We need to band together and FIGHT BACK but we need to do this as a United Group of Michigan Restaurant Owners.”
