Jon Hamm, who recently spent time in Detroit filming "No Sudden Moves," a crime drama set in the 1950s, has flattering things to say about the city. He also talks about the coney dogs.

"We all stayed in the same hotel in downtown Detroit -- which, by the way, Detroit, if you get the chance, go visit. It's a very cool city," Hamm said in a virtual appearance Wednesday on the "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

He also talked about the legendary rivalry between Lafayette and American Coney Islands in downtown Detroit, which Fallon first mentions.

"Oh, they have great hot dogs, by the way," Fallon says.

"Yeah, the Coney dogs man," Hamm says. "I definitely visited Lafayette Coney Dogs. Free plug."

"Yeah, but I love that there's two," Fallon says, and Hamm intejects: "And you know they're right next to each other, exactly."

"Actually the walls are touching," Fallon says.

"Yeah, American and Lafayette, they share a wall," Hamm says. "If you don't like a hot dog here, the exact same thing is right next door."

Hamm said it was interesting being in a swing state during an election.
