Many Metro Detroit teachers in the past week have been frustrated as they scramble to try and get the Covid vaccine before March 1 -- the deadline when Gov. Gretchen Whitmer wants schools to offer some-type of in-class learning.

Many fear they might not get the shot in time due to confusion and a backlog they've encountered, reports the Detroit Free Press (subscribers only), which spoke to teachers in Grosse Pointe, L'Anse Creuse, Warren,  Detroit,  Norton Shores, Eastpointe and Harper Woods.

While  some have had an easy time getting the vaccine, the paper notes, most reported problems and described the process as "real annoying" and a "shit show." Calls to county health departments are unanswered. Online vaccine reservations keep filling.

Some even worry about getting their second shot.
