The Michigan Liquor Control Commission has suspended the liquor licenses of two Oakland County restaurant/bars for violating state Covid restrictions.

Punchline Comedy Lounge at 29555 Northwestern Hwy. in Southfield and Birdies Indoor Golf & Bar at 980 N. Lapeer Rd. in Oxford were cited for allowing indoor dining before the ban was eased Monday and failing to require staff and customers to wear masks.

Since September , the state has suspended 39 liquor licenses for violating executive and emergency orders addressing the pandemic.

Both businesses are scheduled to appear before an administrative law judge Monday at a virtual hearing via Zoom to determine if the suspension should continue and fines should be imposed.
