In these difficult times, we'll gladly take a good news story.
On Saturday, two weeks after fire destroyed a 24-unit building at the River North Village Apartment complex in Mount Clemens, Dino Rasera found Marble, his one-year-old chihuahua, alive. He figured after the Feb. 13 fire, the pet might have parished, but he didn't give up hope.
“As soon as I got out, I started screaming her name,” Rasera told WDIV. “As soon as I got out of the that fire, I was screaming her name. That’s all I thought about.”
“It’s just a dream. I saw her running back there. And it’s just a dream that she was alive. And I never gave up after that.”
Over the weekend, a man was driving through the complex when he saw Marble on the top floor. Rasera was notified.
