Detroit weekend crime: Man killed in casino parking structure, 8 stabbed on west side

Detroit police are seeking a suspect or suspects after a Sunday morning altercation on the far west side ended with eight people stabbed. 

The incident occurred just before 5 a.m in the 6700 block of Greenfield, near the Dearborn border, when police say an argument inside a hookah lounge spilled into the parking lot. All eight victims were taken to a hospital.

Also overnight, around 2 a.m., police say a 25-year-old man was killed in the 2900 block of Grand River, in what appears to be the Motor City Casino parking lot. The man had been fighting with his girlfriend when police say an unknown suspect intervened and shot him to death.

Another man was shot and killed Saturday evening inside a home in Southwest Detroit, on Campbell Street near Junction and Fort. He was 35 years old. The suspect is believed to be 37.
