When it comes to TV, drama is a good thing.

Mayor Mike Duggan plans to meet with HGTV star Nicole Curtis on Thursday to try and resolve a dispute over a rehab home she claims to own, The Detroit News reports. She recently sued after the Detroit Land Bank insisted it holds title to the home at 451 E. Grand Blvd. -- even after she says she sunk $60,000 into the property, which the celebrity says she bought from a private owner for $17,000 in 2017.

On Monday, Duggan said he was a fan of Curtis, but it appears she was scammed into thinking she owned the title.

She didn't appreciate that, writing on Instagram on Tuesday: "Refusing to take a meeting with me - instead the Mayor of Detroit made a statement to the press... The Mayor is mistaken in his interpretation of land banking laws and rules."

Curtis added: "I only hope that the Mayor and the Land Bank will work with me on a positive resolution to a situation that will be mutually beneficial and where ego and financial gain plays no role."

The News said last week: "Despite continued efforts by Curtis' legal team to reach an agreement, the house went up on the market on Feb. 26 for $40,000."

Stay tuned for the next episode of "Nicole & Mayor Mike."
