Police were hunting for a man who opened fire Saturday night on a Detroit Fire engine as it was exiting the station for a run. Bullets hit the vehicle but no one was hurt, Fox 2 reports.

The incident happened around 9:40 p.m. at the fire station near Dexter Avenue and Oakman Boulevard on the west side. The truck was heading out, but a dark-colored Chevy blocked the driveway, the station reports.

After hearing the engine's horn blast, the driver moved. As the rig drove off, firefighers heard shots. Authorities say  a woman passenger was in the vehicle with the shooter.

Anyone with information should call the Detroit Police Department at (313) 596-1040 or Crime Stoppers at (800)SPEAK-UP.
