A man was beaten and robbed of a gold chain he bought with lottery winnings during a recent trip to a Detroit gas station.

Surveillance video obtained by WDIV shows a thief take the victim to the ground and rip off his chain in a struggle as two other men provide backup. The victim, Jamal, tells the station's Nightcam he bought the $20,000 necklace after winning $30,000.

It's said to be the second time the assailant stole the necklace of a customer at the West Warren Avenue and Grand Boulevard-area station. A surveillance clip from a few months ago shows a man of a similar build pull the same stunt.
